In Pictures: Diversity Batik Evening

Diversity had a crafty evening in January – Frances Hider demonstrated the art of batik – painting with wax onto cloth, and then applying coloured dyes to the cloth to create a very individual piece of art.

10 of us took part in the evening, and the whole experience was relaxing and stimulating all at once. Frances was a very patient and talented teacher, and her words of encouragement and advice were welcomed.

Thanks to the Evangelical Church for allowing us to meet in their hall, and thanks to Frances for a really great fun evening.
