Serving Persecuted Christians World Wide.
Writing to the Persecuted Church.

A group of 6 people from PBC have been praying and writing letters and cards of encouragement to persecuted Christians.

Pastors, men, woman, and children who are persecuted because of their faith.

We begin with prayer asking God to give us the right words to communicate. We have a letter writing guide that shows us the people who would be encouraged and strengthened from a letter/card and also a short history of their plight. We keep the letters simple and always remind each person that they are not alone and that we are praying for them; we always include bible verses, especially Gods promises.

This is something that we can do; letters can bring comfort and hope to those in need. We meet every second Tuesday each month for an hour and average 16 to 20 letters and cards each time. Although we do not personally get feedback we do however get it through the writing guide. This is from a Nigerian Christian lady:

“I am so happy to know that I am not alone in this battle of faith, God is at work through these letters, I love everyone who took the time to pen a message of encouragement to me.”

And an Ethiopian lady writes after Open doors launched a writing campaign for her and her family:

“I received so many cards from around the world I was so excited and happy, I say every time ‘thank you God’, because I am not alone. I have so many people around the world praying for me and my family”.

We end the hour by praying for each person we have written to.

We believe that this is a way in that we can serve our God.
