We were aware that our building site is not the prettiest and could be quite an eyesore to those living next to it. This thought occurred to one of our members who gifted some money towards buying bulbs and plants to put into the flower beds in Cleland Avenue. We also had loads of plants and soil donated by kind members of the community.
This work party turned out to be great fun, and a community building activity – anyone who happened to be passing was invited to take up a spade and have a go, and we were glad to be able to bring some colour and cheer to the street.
