Summary
As we reach the end of the first half of the book of Acts, we find a collection of short episodes: the start of the church in Antioch, and Barnabas and then Paul going to work with them; a prophecy about the famine which was going to be affecting the Roman world and how the church responded to that; persecution of the Christians by King Herod, and James’ death, and Peter’s arrest; and finally an exciting story about Peter’s miraculous release from prison, and King Herod’s death. But don’t think that because they are short, they’re not worth spending time on – just the opposite!
Acts 11:19 – 12:25
