This month we held an afternoon tea in the gardens of three of our church members in Peebles and Eddleston. The idea was that against a backdrop of daisies, well-tended roses and newly cut lawns, tea, cake and sandwiches would be served and people could enjoy the company of others, bring their friends and neighbours and raise funds by making donations. After a horribly wet morning, the sun came out just in time, and all three venues had a flow of visitors throughout the afternoon.
Thanks to all who came, who baked and who donated – we raised £383 for the building fund.
